Curriculum

JRK Matriculation Hr.Sec.School highly focuses to train the mind and character of the students so as to strengthen their overall personality which enables them to face any kind of upcoming challenges with ease. The school involves the students in both academic as well as co-curricular activities in order to give them a wide range of exposure in different fields.

Our curriculum covers up number of sports and games, various clubs, environmental activities, community services, like skills in which each and every student voluntarily participates in JRK is well known for excellent and ebullient set of teachers who dedicate themselves for the empowerment and overall development of the students.

Pre primary and Primary

As it is the foundation stage, we have designed curriculum in such a way that will equip the child to develop their fundamental knowledge in Maths, languages, Science and Computer. They are also given opportunity to develop the communication skill through storytelling, dramatization etc. Motor skills are high during this phase of development and we are promoting the learning through Nature walk, Clay work, Gardening etc.

They are encouraged to explore nature and facilitating learning through experience. They will be introduced to the world of numbers, alphabets etc through supervised physical exercises and games. We here also included Yoga, Music, Art & Craft, and Sports etc in our curriculum The curriculum is framed to cater the development of writing, reading, social, moral and motor skills. Our curriculum designed Pre primary is strong enough to establish a solid foundation and personal development and also train them for secondary education.

Secondary

Our secondary curriculum provides an extended knowledge to the students in all area. We foster their critical and analytical problem solving skill, communication skill etc.We impart moral values to the students through a structured value education programme. Students explore the different aspects of every subjects through guided projects and technology assisted classes.

We have incorporated English, Tamil, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, III Language(Hindi/Sanskrit), Computer Science, General Knowledge, Library, Reading, Drawing, Value Education, Music, Art & craft, Field trips, Dramatization, Sight words, Seminars, Project work, Gardening, Yoga, NCC, Sports etc. for nurturing their creative and motor skills. Student’s aptitude, skills and knowledge in academics and extracurricular activities are assessed by skilful and experienced teachers and are made ready for higher studies.

Senior secondary curriculum

In this stage we attempt to incorporate competency in different subjects and equip the child to choose a course for higher studies and career. The curriculum is framed in accordance with Tamil Nadu state board policies and there by equipping the child to appear for competitive exams and mould their career.

Higher Secondary:

Group A : Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Computer Science, English, Language

Group B : Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, English, Language

Group C : Accountancy, Commerce, Computer Application/Business Maths, Economics, English, Language
